Attestation and Authentication of Documents

The Consulate of the Republic of Maldives in Jeddah provides attestation and authentication services for documents intended for official use in the Republic of Maldives or the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, subject to the applicable requirements.

Requests for attestation or authentication may be submitted in person at the Consulate or by email to admin.jeddah@foreign.gov.mv. The Consulate will review the documents and advise the applicant on the next steps, including the submission of original documents.

Required Documents

Applicants are required to submit the following:

1- A request for attestation or authentication, indicating the purpose for which the document will be used.

2- The original document(s) requiring attestation or authentication.

3- A clear copy of the applicant's passport or national identity card.

4- Any supporting documents required for verification, where applicable.

Additional documents may be requested depending on the nature of the document and the requirements of the receiving authority.

  • The Consulate reserves the right to request additional documentation or information to verify the authenticity of any document submitted for attestation or authentication.
  • Submission of a request does not guarantee that the document will be attested or authenticated.
  • Processing times may vary depending on the nature of the document and any verification requirements.
  • Documents that do not meet the applicable requirements may be returned without being attested or authenticated.
