Welcome to the official website of the Consulate of the Republic of Maldives in Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The Consulate was established by the Government of the Republic of Maldives under the authority vested in the President by Article 116(a) of the Constitution of the Republic of Maldives. The decision to establish the Consulate in Jeddah reflects the Government's commitment to strengthening consular services and enhancing support for Maldivian citizens in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The Consulate was officially opened on 10 January 2022.

Operating under the jurisdiction of the Embassy of the Republic of Maldives in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Maldives, the Consulate serves as an important link between the Maldives and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The Consulate is dedicated to providing assistance and support to Maldivian Hajj and Umrah pilgrims, students, families, and other Maldivian nationals visiting or residing in Saudi Arabia. Given Jeddah's significance as the principal gateway for pilgrims travelling to the Holy Cities of Makkah and Madinah, the Consulate plays a vital role in facilitating consular services and safeguarding the welfare of Maldivian citizens.

The website is aimed at providing timely information on consular services, travel advisories, Hajj and Umrah matters, and other important updates relevant to Maldivian citizens and visitors. The Consulate remains committed to serving the Maldivian community in Saudi Arabia and to further strengthening the longstanding friendship between the Republic of Maldives and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
